Argentinian 'Doctor' Responsible for Priscilla Presley's Botched Plastic Surgery

This sounds like a plot line from Nip/Tuck: a representative for Dancing with the Stars contestant Priscilla Presley is claiming that the star fell victim to an Argentinian nurse, Daniel Serrano, posing as a certified plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills and offering 'miracle' treatments to LA's over-the-hill elite. Amongst Serrano's clients, besides Presley, were Larry King's wife Shawn King, and Lionel Richie's ex-wife Diane Richie, who is believed to have been partners with Serrano.

According to TMZ, Serrano frequently held "injection parties" in Beverly Hills mansions and pumped his clients full of industrial, low-grade silicone similar to what's used to lubricate auto parts in Argentina, charging between $300-$500 per injection. The injections caused lumps, paralysis and holes in the faces of some of the women he injected.

Serrano, who was nicknamed Dr. Jiffy Lube, was indicted by the Feds for smuggling drugs, and the conspiracy and use of unapproved drugs.
He was convicted, and last week he was released and is currently being investigated by federal immigration officials and could be deported.

"He's a very charming guy," Ellen Lavinthal, one of Serrano's former clients, told People nagazine in December 2004, around the
time of his indictment. "He had a lot of fabulous endorsements from the women he had been treating. He's very good at taking advantage of women."

We think the lesson here is obvious—keep motor oil away from your face, and stick to mamá's home remedies for keeping yourself looking young and fresh!

'It's a shame! People need to come to terms with aging. Regardless of whether they are famous or not! If you eat the right foods, get enough rest, keep your face clean and moisturized you will look years younger! It's also in the genes, if you've got good genes you will age very gracefully. We need to come to terms with aging! We need to accept it as a part of life and a part of being human. I see alot of women her age that are absolutely gorgeous, glowing and happy with themselves in their skin. You can still look good and exude beauty and sex appeal regardless of your age. This is a prime example of allowing desperation to take over. You should always do your homework and check out a surgeons credentials if you choose to go that route.
