Salma Hayek-Pinault visited The Late Show with David Letterman last night and took the opportunity to explain the hilarious video circulating on the web of her freaking out about a snake, and proved her real-life bravery by explaining that insects are a nutritious (and delicious, according to her) part of Mexican cuisine.

"They are a delicatessen," she explained to the audiences delight, "Very rare." To which Letterman responded with a chuckle, "You mean delicacy. Delicatessens are not very rare at all!"
