WATCH: Kelis is "Brave" in New Video

The video for Kelis's long-awaited single, "Brave," is finally here!

"Brave" is a song off part-Puerto Rican singer's fifth studio album, Flesh Tone, which came out in July. Kelis says the song is based on her marriage to rapper, Nas, whom she divorced in May.

"After (the split), everyone was like, ‘You are going through a rough time, you should write something personal,' Kelis told UsMagazine. 'I wear my feelings on my sleeve. The hardest decisions are the best ones and for me that was really the case. I am definitely better today than I was a year ago. And I’ll be better next year," she added.
