FTC Sends Warning to Sofia Vergara and Others About Unclear Social Media Ads

1. Sofia Vergara, Bella Thorne, other celebrities have been put on notice by the U.S. government because of lack of transparency when promoting products on social media.

The Federal Trade Commission, also known as the FTC, sent out dozens of letters last month to remind the stars to always disclose any endorsement. According to Reuters, the Modern Family actress received the letter for a post on Instagram talking about a bracelet and not telling fans she received compensation for promoting it. The picture received over more than 75, 000 likes. (Reuters)
