Woodley was arrested on Monday during a protest against the Dakota Access pipeline in North Dakota. Dawson tweeted out her support on Monday afternoon.

Woodley participated in the protest for over two-and-a-half hours before being arrested by local authorities for "criminal trespassing." The protest was livestreamed to her fans on her official Facebook page.

"I don't know if you guys just heard me, but I was walking back to my RV, which is right there so that we can go back to camp peacefully and they grabbed me by the jacket and said that I was not allowed to continue," she said. "And they had giant guns and batons and zip ties and they're not letting me go."

When she tried to ask the officer a question, he responded, "We can't talk right here, but you're going to be placed under arrest for criminal tresspassing."
