Michael Jackson and Dave Navarro performed at Harlem's World Famous Apollo Theater in New York City on April 24, 2002.

Michael Jackson has probably been the most charismatic entertainer in the world since he first picked up a microphone. He has been the target of many hateful and hurtful criticisms. I fell in love with him when he sang, ABC up to the songs he is now singing in heaven. What I find most warming in my heart about him is that he suffered a tremendous amount of pain at the hands of his father. My heart hurts for him. Now, we can remember a great man and hope for the best in his children. Even they are being beaten about in the press. They say, "He is not their bio dad". So what. When Madonna and Angelina go to Africa to pick up little Black babies that we all know didn't come from them, does anyone say anything negative? No. They are heralded as heroines trying to save the underprivileged. What does it matter? Micheal will always be loved no matter what the haters say. Millions and Millions of people to the end of time will sing his praise. I'm hoping to see his children some day take the stage like their father and knock em dead! Kiss, Kiss BChavez P.S. I love you Michael. Sweet dreams!
Just when he was making his comeback & I thought maybe I'll be able to see him if he does a tour in the U.S. There will never be another artist like the King of Pop! A part of my childhood died yesterday. I'm still in shock! I will never forget the performance my friends and I put on in IS 147 in the Bronx. He will always live on through his music. Rest in peace - the legend - the King of Pop - Michael Jackson.
I once met the Jackson family back in the early 1990's at a hotel in LA. I couldn't believe how approachable they were, how gracious and welcoming to ordinary people. After meeting them, I soon realised that they are a very special family. Ironically, many years later I up got married to an Englishman who turned out to be a huge fan of the Jackson's and has stood by MJ's side ever since day one. ~ Here on British TV, MJ's close friend Uri Galler the magician recently said that he put MJ under hypnosis once to help him to stop eating foods that were bad for his health, etc. During the event, Uri admitts to taking advantage of the situation by asking MJ if the rumours were true about the court case with these children. MJ's reply was ''No I could never do that to a child' Next question was then why did you settle out of court? MJ's answer was ''I just couldn't take it anymore'' If this is indeed Uri is telling the TRUTH. The police, the press and everyone did a very bad thing by crucifying Michale Jackson's character in the media. I personally feel the police are highly accountable for their acts and it should not be tolerated. The strangest thing is that in some ways MJ seemed to have lived out the character in the movie 'BEN' where he sang the theme song. (It's a beautiful song) ~ Farrah Fawcett, I consider her a sister because she is part American Indian. As you know many of us Latinas share different types of Indian blood in us. Farrah always expressed how proud she was her of her Indian heritage and refused to get a nose job, saying this her proud Indian nose and she is keeping it! (Guess now we know why she was so beautifully tanned) I just had to respect her for standing up for herself and the Native peoples in that way. It's hard to imagine that a nose job could have made Farrah more appealing anyway, because they don't get much more beautiful than that. I believe there was so much synchronicity in her relationship with Ryan O'Neill. Let's not forget he the role he played in love storey. Especially at the end where it says- 'Love means never having to say your sorry''. If anything I hope this teaches us to cherish the people in our lives before it's too late. BOTH LIVES WHERE THE END OF AN ERA. Peace Everyone! Rebecca Laguna =) PS- Thank you Latina Magazine for your wonderful journalism. You have made your mark. Keep up the good work. We need and enjoy you!
I think he was a very good and talented person. Even though he was a supposed pedophile, which i do not think so,so what he was still a boy at heart. I feel for his children that have lost a parent that truly wanted to make a difference. I do not know where i heard an interesting fact, that Michael jackson ,james brown,Allijah,Left eye lopez all died on the 25th day of a month. All African Americans, all these stars will be forever be remembered by their fans and not easily forgotten. May u all Rip. I also wanted to comment on farrah fawcett, great person. Even though we knew she was going to die,i watched her documentary,i was in tears. They showed her puking,no hair and her son saying not to move him too much so that his shackles would not sound. He then said goodbye to his mom, soooooo sad. Now ryan o'neal said he loved her more now than before, must be his dirty conscience talking, people do not forget how badly he treated farrah, even though he was there till the end.Hopefully that made her happy in the end. RIP Farrah.
A TRUE artist....performer....talent.....singer....dancer.....entertainer.....everything. Was just amazing and I'm truly saddend by his death. We are over here celebrating his life and music but at the same time it's bittersweet. I don't think it has hit me yet that he's actually "gone", he will always be alive to me and to many others. He has affected people that are in their 50's and 60's to people that are in their early 20's. No one.....and I mean NO ONE has had that type of impact across generations, cultures, and international acclaim than the one and only Michael Jackson.......may he finally rest in peace, you will be missed.
