1. Mom Fitness: Camila Alves
Camila Alves doesn’t play around when it comes to giving her body the time it needs to heal. After giving birth to her daughter, Vida, Camila didn’t hit the gym right away contrary to what most celebs do. Instead she exercised a process known to Brazilians as “quarentena.”
On practicing “quarentena”: “You kind of respect all the hard workyour body has just done and give it a break. For these 40 days, you really take it easy,” she said to Us Magazine. “By that I mean no sex, light, healthy food, no trips to the gym. Then, after 40 days, you are good to go."
2. Mom Fitness: Alessandra Ambrosio
Alessandra Ambrosio bounced back from her first pregnancy with daughter Anja Louise in record time! The Victoria's Secret model gave birth to her son Noah last month.
On losing the baby weight in 2009: "Last year, because I had a baby and I had to lose pounds, I did a lot of cardio,” she said to People. "This year is all about weights, squats and lunges."
3. Mom Fitness: Gisele
Gisele Bundchen may seem superhuman, but she looses weight by exercising just like the rest of us!
On staying in shape while pregnant with son Benjamin: "I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week. I think a lot of people get pregnant and decidethey can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and Igained only 30 pounds," she said in an interview for Vogue.
4. Mom Fitness: Adrina Lima
Let’s face it, most new moms hate on Adriana Lima and most supermodels that immediately bounce back into shape days after giving birth. Especially when she calls bouncing back into shape “easy.” Her workout includes lots of cardio and is paired with a no-carb all-protein diet.
On going to the gym: "Often I [go] twice in one day! It can be anywhere from one hour to two hours."
5. Mom Fitness: Thalia
Thalia exercised patience when it came to losing her baby weight after daughter Sabrina Sakae.
How she lost weight: The “Ten Paciencia” singer used a detox diet, which included 60 percent of veggies, 40 percent protein, and zero carbs! She revealed to People.com that she “immediately felt lighter.” We think her regimen should be called Thalia’s South Beach diet!
6. Mom Fitness: Penelope Cruz
Penelope Cruz gave birth to her first son Leo last January and worked on a diet and fitness plan soon afterwards.
How she lost the weight: “I love ballet and it’s a little boring for me to go to the gym because I’m used to the dancing discipline — it’s really hard but much more fun,” reported Perez Hilton.
7. Mom Fitness: Roselyn Sanchez
Roselyn Sanchez wasn’t shy about admitting that she rocked Spanx after giving birth to her first daughter Sebella Rose. Her best workout just seven weeks after her baby was born? Breastfeeding.
On getting in shape: “It’s hard, but the doctor finally said that I can start working out, so I’m excited to get back in shape.”

Christina Milian gave birth to baby Violet in February 2010 and entered the new phase of her life as a single mom (after split from The Dream) with full force.
On being a mom: “Being a new mother definitely makes me feel so much sexier than ever before,” she said exclusively to Latina. “There’s a certain responsibility that I carry being a mom that makes me feel very confident and so blessed. Being a mom is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
9. Mom Fitness: Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera lost whopping 40 pounds only four months after giving birth to her son Max Bratman.
Her cravings: "Oh, my God, candy! I had a huge craving for candy toward the end of the pregnancy," she said to US Weekly. "From Starbursts to Skittles. I actually took a picture of myself with my big belly in a littlelingerie top, surrounded by bowls of the candy I like."
10. Mom Fitness: Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez may be in the best shape of her life now, but the Boricua star admitted that it took work to lose the baby weight after giving birth to twins Max and Emme.
On losing weight: "It did take a lot of work," Lopez confessed to Entertainment Tonight. "I thought it was gonna drop off easily because I had been in shape my whole life, but it didn't."
11. Mom Fitness: Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba was fiercely dedicated to staying in shape after giving birth to her second daughter Haven in August of last year.
How she did it: “I just made healthier choices,” she said in an interview with Us Weekly. “I started working out and not going too crazy, but I did what was safe and what the doctor approved.”
