Penelope Cruz Gets Food Poisoning in Cannes

Penélope Cruz became ill while in France for the Cannes Film Festival, People reports. The actress was scheduled to join movie mogul Harvey Weinstein in presenting a trailer and teaser for her upcoming musical Nine, but had to skip the event due to "some sort of food poisoning."

However, the actress is still expected to attend tomorrow’s premiere of Broken Embraces, directed by Pedro Almodovar. Weinstein addressed Cruz’s condition before a group of journalists, "Tomorrow night is her premiere for her movie,” he stated. “She is getting better and is seeing a doctor right now."
