Penelope Cruz is not feeling like a California girl these days. The Oscar-nominated star of Vicky Cristina Barcelona tells Spain's El Pais newspaper that she feels "alone" in Los Angeles and is planning a move to New York City.
"After a number of years in Los Angeles, I no longer want to live here," says Cruz. "It will be better if I share my time between New York and Madrid, where
my family is."
The star also says that Los Angelenos are "obsessed" with the movie biz and credits Vicky Cristina director Woody Allen for bringing her a much-needed reality check. "He says what he thinks, unlike many people that I have met in Los Angeles." Ouch! What do you have to say to that, West Coasters?
Anything that brings Penelope Cruz closer to the Latina offices is fine by us! We think New York is more suited to the actress anyway, since she prefers to work and play outside of the Hollywood machine. What do you think?
