Penélope's a Perfectionist

Penélope Cruz opened up to U.K.-based Psychologies magazine
recently, speaking freely about her tendency to be a perfectionist in both her
professional and personal life for the August issue of the glossy.

The Academy Award–winning actress even says that she feels as though every film she works on is her first, explaining, "I always think they could fire me." We can see the stress that may entail, but it also helps to explain how she tends to totally own every single role she plays. As far as how her perfection has taken its toll, she says, "I've ruined my own happiness and created problems with my friends because of this tendency. It takes discipline for me to stop worrying."

And though her siblings routinely complain about how overprotective their older hermana is, we're sure those motherly tendencies will come in handy when she decides it is time to have children of her own—which she reveals is definitely in her future plans. "I want to have babies one day, but not right now. When I do it, I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life," she explained. Unfortunately for us, it doesn't look like she'll be marching down the aisle with Javier Bardem anytime soon: "I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children."
