Paulina Rubio’s Hubby Says Pregnancy is “The Biggest Emotion You Can Feel”

Talk about a citizen of humanity. This past Saturday, Mexico’s quintessential golden girl, Paulina Rubio, successfully pulled off what will hopefully be the first of many “Paulina & Friends” benefit concerts at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami. The event was orgnaized to raise funds for a future center for children and families with special needs at the Miami Children’s Hospital. Surprise guest Ricky Martin opened by reminding us about the importance of giving and introducing the event’s organizer, Rubio. His cameo set the right tone for a star-studded night with performances by Reik, Noel Schajris, Aleks Syntek, Estefano, Fonseca, Fanny Lu, Luis Fonsi, Roba, and even Rubio’s former Timbiriche bandmate Erik Rubin.

While on the red carpet, Rubio took a moment to describe what she was feeling: “This is a dream come true for me, and I’m so grateful to all my friends who are here with me. It’s truly a moment to give. You see the event on the calendar, it feels so far away, and now it’s here. Tonight is a very special night for our family and for the Latin music community,” said the mami-to-be, radiating positive vibes in a sequined, one-shoulder white dress, opaque black tights, and crystal-encrusted Louboutins.

Both Rubio’s proud mother, Susana Dosamantes (looking regal in a long black gown) and Pau’s husband, the impeccably suited Spaniard Nicolas “Colate” Vallejo Najera, stuck close by. Before the show started, we got the chance to ask him how he feels about being a future dad: “It’s the biggest emotion you can feel. Since we found out, we’ve been smiling, and every day we feel happier. There are times when you forget for a few minutes, you get distracted because you’re working or something, or maybe you’re sleeping, and then all of a sudden, it hits you, and you just get this smile from ear to ear.”

Helping the children of the world and starting a family of her own? Seems Rubio has a whole lot to smile about these days. Congrats!
