Paul Rodriguez Well Enough to Send Text Messages

Comedian Paul Rodriguez is still in a Washington D.C hospital suffering from unexplained abdominal pains, but things are starting to look up for the funnyman, TMZ reports. Mario Santoya, who works with Rodriguez at the California Latino Water Coalition, told the gossip site that he left Paul’s side last night, but received a text from him this morning. Santoya says his friend is conscious and “feeling better.”
 
Rodriguez, who serves as chairman of the Water Coalition, was in D.C. for congressional meetings on Oct. 2 when he became ill. He was rushed to George Washington University Hospital and was admitted to the intensive care unit. Doctors performed a series of tests and x-rays, but they have been unable to pinpoint the cause of the illness.
