Nicole Richie Wins Restraining Order Against Photographers
| 11/17/2009 - 12:11 |
An L.A. judge granted designer/professional celebrity Nicole Richie a restraining order against two members of the paparazzi. Richie, who appeared in court with boyfriend Joel Madden, petitioned for a three-year restraining order against photographers Eduardo Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel, who agreed to stay 50 yards away from Richie and her children. Miguel apologized to Richie on the stand, and said in court he would not take pictures of her if she didn't want him to.
Richie, 28, blames the men for causing a car crash that took place in Beverly Hills last month. Although her two children with Madden (Harlow, 21 months, and Sparrow, 2 months) weren’t in the car at the time of the crash, Richie fears for the safety of her family. She also said in court that Miguel trespassed at her home and the photographers often stomp their feet on the ground to try to get a reaction from her.
Richie, Arrivabene and Miguel declined to comment following the hearing.
Does hearing stuff like this make you feel sorry for celebrities like Nicole—even if only for a second?
