Nicole Richie Dishes on Wedding Plans!

Budding fashion designer Nicole Richie recently sat down for an interview that aired on The Ellen Degeneres Show today and shared her excitement about her recently confirmed engagement. "I've been on the road. I just got home, and so it's really going to be now that's the time for me to sit down and think about what I want," Richie told Degeneres about the wedding planning.

When Ellen asked if Richie, 28 and fiancé Joel Madden, 31, had set a date for their nuptials, Nicole responded, "Not yet, but soon." And although the couple wants to get things going sooner rather than later, there is no big rush for the mother of two, "The same thing as our engagement, we're kind of doing it at our own pace. We have no idea right now."

Unfortunately for Richie, it seems like she and Madden may not have the same vision when it comes to their dream wedding. When asked about the nuptials on the Oscar red carpet over the weekend, Madden admitted, "According to her, we’ll have a really big wedding. According to me, it will be really small."

Uh oh! Looks like the couple has some compromising to do. But as Richie said of the wedding planning, "It's a big deal," so we're sure they'll work hard to make each other happy. The couple have two small children, daughter Harlow, 2, and son Sparrow, 6 months, so we're sure they know a thing or two about compromise.
