Even though Kelis just gave birth amidst mad drama—including Nas showing up to the hospital drunk (!) while she was in labor for three long days pushing out the couple's only child together—the singer was most likely elated to hear that a Los Angeles judge ruled in her favor yesterday. Her soon-to-be ex-husband was told to pay the pop star approximately $40,000 a month in child support and alimony.

Nas lost the court battle just days after Kelis gave birth to their baby boy, Knight Jones. According to court records, Nas has been ordered to pay Kelis $30,471 in spousal support every month, in addition to $9,027 in child support for baby Knight. He also has to pay $45,000 for Kelis's legal fees, in addition to covering the cost of a baby nurse, prenatal expenses and medical insurance.

The couple was originally married in July 2003.
