Miss USA Pageant Runner-up Miss California Only Supports "Opposite" Marriage

In further proof that you needn't be a rocket scientist to find yourself at the top of the heap at a beauty pageant, Miss California Carrie Prejean gave gossip blogger Perez Hilton an interesting answer during the finals of the Miss USA pageant over the weekend. When asked by the self-dubbed "Queen of all Media" what her stance was on same sex marriage, she said (and we quote) "We live in a land that you can choose, same sex marriage or opposite marriage." Um, OK, but what the hell is "opposite" marriage? Regardless of whether or not you believe that same-sex marriage should be legalized, or that marriage should remain a contract between only men and women, you've got to admire the idiocy of her answer!

In honor of this inspired moment in beauty pageant history, we decided to compile videos of contestants showing off their education and clear grasp of current events, starting it off with Miss California herself:

And here's Hillary Cruz, who beat out Upton for the Miss Teen USA title in 2007 telling us that the H in HIV stands for "Health"

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that women with implants are less honest, but I'm convinced that marriage is a common civil right and we need to change the law, because no one would like to live as a second-class citizen. P.S. I'm an open heterosexual, and I'd better have a sex toy than homosexual relationships.
