Only the very best for Mimi! Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon recently made a bid for the Fleur de Lys, the world's most expensive estate, with an estimated value of $125 million. The home was purchased and extensively renovated by Texas billionaire David Saperstein in the early '90s, but is currently owned by his ex-wife Suzanne, whom he left for their Swedish nanny in a messy divorce. The Fleur de Lys, located in Beverly Hills, CA, is a five-acre estate with a 41,000-square foot French limestone mansion based on France's legendary Vaux le Vicomte palace.

The home features 15 bedrooms, Italian marble walls, a library complete with rare books and a screening room with seating for 50. There's also a 3,000-square-foot manager's house, a spa, a pool with a pavilion and a championship tennis court.

After spending about three months house hunting, Mimi and Nick settled on the Fleur de Lys, one of LA's most prestigious estates. It is unknown how much the couple offered in their bid for the mansion. A source close to Carey and Cannon told contactmusic.com that, "They like the home because there's so little that needs doing to it."
