
Michelle Rodriguez on "Machete" and Immigration Reform

We caught up with Michelle Rodriguez on the red carpet of the New York International Latino Film Festival for the premiere of her new film Tropico de Sangre. Rodriguez stars in the film as Minerva Mirabal, one of the inspiring Mirabal sisters in the Dominican Republic who dared to defy the ruthless dictator Rafael Trujillo—which eventually lead to their assassination in a sugar field.
Michelle has been a busy lady lately, her next movie, Machete, featuring a wildly diverse ensemble cast directed by Robert Rodriguez is coming out Sept. 3rd. We asked her what her favorite part of filming the movie was and what she thought about the hot button immigration debate going on in the country.
