Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are not giving up.
According to Radar Online, since calling it quits with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka in early April, the mother-of-two and the Wild N’ Out host have been trying to rekindle old flames. “Obviously the kids want nothing more than for their parents to get back together, They definitely still love each other and Mariah is realizing that maybe no man on the planet that will tolerate her like Nick will,” an insider told the outlet.
Earlier this month, another source also revealed that the exes had grown closer since the diva’s split from her boy toy. “Mariah and Nick are getting along great,” the source told People. “Nick spends most of his time with Mariah and the kids. Mariah is great with Nick around. There seems to be hope that they will get back together permanently.”
Although the former couple finalized their divorce back in November 2016, they often spend a lot of time together peacefully tackling their co-parenting responsibilities. The amicable exes recently reunited for a fun day at Disneyland to celebrate the sixth birthday of their twins, Monroe and Moroccan. Back in March, the loving family attended Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards together.
Carey and Cannon got married in 2008 in a secret ceremony in the Bahamas. However, the couple called it quits after 6 years of marriage in 2015. Since their divorce, the powerhouse singer had also been involved with Australian billionaire, James Packer — and Cannon welcomed another child.
