Madonna Opens Gym in Mexico City

Madonna is building a new empire, and its home base is Mexico City. The international pop diva is opening a new chain of fitness gyms called Hard Candy and the flagship store will open on November 29 in the upscale Bosques de las Lomas neighborhood in D.F.

The gym came about through a partnership with Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, and New Evolution Ventures. According to Fox News Latino, the project will go global. A statement from Hard Candy Gyms said they "will open in major cities around the world," including 10 more locations in Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Europe and Asia, but no gyms are immediately planned for the United States.
