Latino Celebrities You Never Knew Were Homeschooled

They may have walked the red carpet -- but these celebs have never walked to "Pomp & Circumstance." Either because of their blossoming careers or their struggles with bullying, many celebrities opted out of a traditional high school experience, and decided to be homeschooled instead.

From Demi Lovato to Christina Aguilera, we bet you never knew these celebrities were taught at home:

1. Demi Lovato

Sadly, Demi Lovato left school to escape her tormentors. "Bullying is something I went through when I was 12 years old," she said. "I actually ended up leaving school because of it."

The actress -- who starred in Camp Rock and Sonny With A Chance as a child -- opted for a home-schooled education from 7th grade onwards.

2. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez boasts millions of fans these days -- but in school, she barely had any friends. "I was never the popular kid at school," she revealed. "I had two friends, but I just sat at the back of the room and got on with my work."

Gomez eventually left a traditional school environment to be home-schooled. When she graduated from high school, she didn't have an official ceremony, but she did shoot one for her film Monte Carlo. "In a weird way, I was able to experience an official graduation, LOL," she wrote on Facebook.

3. Bella Thorne

Bella Thorne left school due to bullying and struggles with dyslexia.  "I have been bullied for different reasons," she told Do Something"I was bulled for... speaking a different language. I was also made fun of and humiliated for my lack of reading skills. I am dyslexic, but I wasn't aware of that at the time. I was called really hurtful names and... it was tough going to school every day."

At the age of 14, Thorne made the decision to leave school and pursue a home-schooling curriculum instead.

Unlike his character. Malcolm, Frankie Muniz didn't step foot in a classroom after the sixth grade. The Malcolm in the Middle star expressed no regrets over his decision to forego high school for an acting career.  "Why? I'm going to like the Emmy's, the Golden Globes, the Grammy's," he told CBS News. "I'm meeting my favorite celebrities.
