The Real Reason Behind Juan Pablo Galavis & Nikki Ferrell's Split

The Real Reason For Juan Pablo Galavis & Nikki Ferrell's Split

When Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell split earlier this week, few fans of The Bachelor even batted an eye. After all, Galavis contoversial behavior throughout season 18 led many to believe that the relationship would be over in a matter of weeks.

However, many did wonder why Ferrell, 28, finally decided to ditch her 33-year-old Venezuelan boyfriend.

Sources revealed to US Weekly that Ferrell dumped him — and not the other way around. "It was not mutual," they said.

The reason for the split? Juan Pablo's inability to voice those eight letters: "I love you."

Galavis famously refused to tell her he loved her throughout their stint on The Bachelor, on Couple's Therapy, and in real life. Ferrell soon realized that Galavis had an issue with committment... and compromise.

"They were not seeing eye to eye on anything," the insider told the magazine. "Juan wanted Nikki in Miami. Nikki didn't want to leave her family, friends or job. Meanwhile, Juan wouldn't even consider going to Kansas."

"Nikki felt like she was doing all the work in the relationship, and that Juan expected her to join his life" they continued. "She couldn't get him to compromise at all."

Although Galavis seems to be thrown by the breakup (he reportedly followed, then unfollowed, then refollowed Ferrell on Twitter) his pediatric nurse ex-girlfriend has moved on: "Isn't it pathetic how we waste so much time on certain people and in the end they prove that they weren't even worth a second of it," she posted on Instagram, after unfollowing her ex-novio for good. Ouch.
