J.Lo: "I'm Not the Monster I Used to Be"

No, Jennifer Lopez, 40, is not talking about the rumors of outrageously diva-like behavior that have plagued her since her Bennifer days—she's talking about her insane exercise habits! In the January issue of Allure magazine she says, "Part of my business is about being in shape and looking good. You can't lie to yourself about it. But I'm not the monster I used to be in the exercise department." Apparently, her 21-month-old twins Max and Emme have helped reshape her priorities!

The one thing she says she has never lost is her determination and drive to be the best entertainer she can be. Although she knew that she was gifted in the performance department, she admits that it did not always come naturally. "It wasn't like it was with Marc [Anthony], who opened his mouth at age three and was blessed with a voice from God," Lopez says of her husband. "I had to work at it, but I knew that once I had achieved it, people would respond to me in a certain way."

You can catch Jenny return to her block Dec. 31 on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2010 when she performs a seven-minute medley of her greatest hits in Times Square on ABC.
