From advocating for Unidos Por Puerto Rico to being part of the Somos Una Voz concert, Jennifer Lopez wants to continue helping the victims of the recent natural disasters.
Jenny from the block has not forgotten her roots and is making sure her isla is receiving the help they need in any way possible. This Halloween, UNICEF has chosen the boricua to be the face of their new relief project for those in the Caribbean and Mexico.
Every year, the organization distributes little boxes that encourage children to accept donations while enjoying their night of ghosts and goblins. They then send proceeds to those in need at the time. This year, as we know, Puerto Rico, Mexico and other islands in the Caribbean are in dire need of all the help they can get and UNICEF is on top of it. Who better to be the face of their campaign than JLo? The mother-of-two and the organization have worked together to create a PSA encouraging monetary donations to be collected in little orange boxes –appropriate for the season of course.
"When you trick-or-treat for UNICEF, you get to be a hero no matter what your costume is." Says the singer in the PSA.
Anything helps, so it's time to get our BOO on for a good cause!
