Gisele and Tom Are Engaged!

Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bündchen is officially off the market! Men all over the globe are sure to be disappointed to hear that the 28 year-old supermodel recently got engaged to the 31 year-old quarterback of the New England Patriots, Tom Brady. After a barrage of post-Christmas engagement rumors' circulated around the net only to be shot down by the couple's reps, Tom popped the question (for real) with a diamond solitaire this past Friday in Los Angeles.

"He asked and she accepted," a source told People of Gisele and long-time beau Brady. While family and close friends already know the good news, Gisele will be squeezing in some time with her gal pals this week to plan the official announcement and get started on wedding details. We're all anxious to know who'll be on the guest list and to check out the ring (we're sure it's spectacular).

"The couple is discussing either a huge fashionista event in the spring or a more intimate and quicker ceremony in Costa Rica, where Gisele has a home," says the source.

This is the first engagement for both Bündchen and Brady. Tom was previously romantically linked to Bridget Moynahan, the mother of his 2 year-old son John Edward Thomas, but ended their relationship shortly after meeting the supermodel. Gisele's longtime relationship with ex-beau Leonardo DiCaprio came to an end back in 2005. We wish the newly engaged couple all the best!

Mariela Rosario,

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
