Looking as fierce as ever, actress Eva Mendes graces the cover of W magazine's July issue and speaks about her role in the funny new Will Ferrell film. After reflecting on her past movie roles and how she'll "go there" when it comes to nude scenes for her art (films), the proud Latina also spoke about her life's dichotomy.

"I'm a modern woman. I take care of myself, I’m fiercely independent and I’m really ambitious," she told the magazine. "Yet I have these old-school thoughts ingrained in my mind. I do like to belong to a man. I love having a man in my life and being his woman at the end of the day," she admitted.

Addressing the undeniable diversity that now exists in this country and how she is the image of the new American girl, Eva said,  "This is also what we look like now," while pointing her finger to her face.
