Katy Perry and Lady Gaga were the big winners at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA’s), but it was Latinas Eva Longoria Parker and Shakira that brought the sex appeal to tonight's sizzling hot show, held at La Caja Magica stadium in Madrid.
Eva, who served as the host of this year's show, wore a low cut dress and was joined onstage by four ab-tastic underwear-clad male models in unforgiving red and yellow briefs.
Eva wasn't the only Latina making Spain hotter. MTV reports that Shakira opened tonight's show with a special performance of her Sale el Sol single, "Loca," wearing a revealing silvery sparkly bikini and fringed harem pants under neon tights. Shaki was joined onstage by two dancers and British rapper Dizzee Rascal. Shaki also performed her World Cup anthem Waka Waka (This Is Africa), an appropriate choice given that Spain is home to the world's soccer champs.
Longoria Parker, who has been tweeting about the show all day today, tweeted this evening about how much fun she had hosting the show. "Thank u Madrid! I love Espana!! MTV EMA's you rocked! Had so much fun! Back to work now on DH!" Based on glowing early reviews of Longoria Parker's hosting performance, we'd say Spain loves her right back!
The EMA's will premiere tonight at 9/8c on MTV2 and a one-hour special highlighting the show’s performances will air on Friday (November 12) at 9/8c on MTV.
