Eva Longoria is stepping up her producing game.
The “Devious Maids” producer is now working on a new project for NBC, a drama called Casino, reports Deadline.
Through Longoria’s company UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, she sold the project to the network, which will be written by East Los High co-creator, Carlos Portugal.
The drama will center on the aftermath of a mogul’s mysterious death when his ambitious young widow and his illegitimate son have to join forces to save his casino, according to Deadline.
Portugal will also act as executive producer alongside Longoria and Ben Spector.
The Mexicana is quickly making her mark in television production, something long overdue for a Latina, as her company has other shows in development, including an NBC comedy series Hot & Bothered, which she also stars in, as well as drama Zone of Silence, and comedy Bonita & Mechelle at the network. Finally, Longoria’s company is also developing a comedy at ABC.
We couldn’t be prouder!
