Does Chad Ochocinco Want to be Latino?

We've been following the antics of Cincinnati Bengals sensation Chad Ochocinco ever since he changed his last name to "Ochocinco" before the 2008 football season began. As one of the most popular players in the NFL, we were just confused as to why he decided to change his last name at all. It's just weird.

And the crazy just got even crazier! In a recent game against the Detroit Lions, Chad Ochocinco celebrated an impressive 37-yard touchdown by donning a sombrero and poncho on the sidelines. He was subsequently fined $30 thousand for his antics. Tell us: What do you think about Ochocinco's antics? Does he have a genuine love for Latino culture and language, or is he just mocking us? We can't quite figure it out...

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
