It's good to have friends, but it's even better to have famous friends, especially when they all show up to the premiere of your directorial debut!
Diego Luna must have been feeling the love last night at the Los Angeles premiere of his first film, Abel, at the famous Grauman Chinese theater. Abel is a meditation on childhood and the importance of fathers, and when we spoke to the director at the Sundance premiere of his film, he admitted that the theme was personal. Luna was the product of a single-parent household (his mother died when he was a baby), and as a 12-year-old he was gripped by insomnia over fears that his father would leave him.
But at the LA premiere, the mood was festive and a ton of his Hollywood buddies—from Will Ferrell to Zoe Saldana—came out to support the budding director.
