Want to learn how to twerk? There's an app for that — thanks to Christina Milian and fitness guru/dancer Lexy Panterra.
The two teamed up to create LexTwerkOut, an app based on Panterra's TwerkOut fitness classes.
Panterra's fitness program uses dance routines, specifically twerking, to get in shape. She created the program when she realized she was getting a great workout doing the dance move, and turned it into a new, fun way for people to get fit. She started her classes in California, and they quickly became popular in Los Angeles.
LexTwerkOut classes garnered the attention of many celebs, including Karrueche Tran, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, Mel B, and Christina Milian. The celebs often post videos of their workouts to social media, and her workouts have been featured on several TV shows, including The Real and E! News. First launched in January 2014, the classes skyrocketed in popularity, prompting the creation of the app.
The app allows users to take virtual classes wherever they are. It offers a variety of step-by-step instructions, full routines, and photos. Users can follow along and get a LexTwerkOut lesson in the comfort of their own homes.
