Christina Aguilera utilized her baby bump in an unusual (and adorable!) way at the launch of the World Hunger Relief's "Pass The Red Cup" challenge.
Dressed in a simple white dress and jean jacket, the pregnant singer used her burgeoning belly as a table top for the "red cup." Her new #PassTheRedCup campaign challenges fans to join the fight against global hunger. Since 2009, the pop star has fought global hunger as a spokesperson for WHR, which benefits the U.N. World Food Programme.
Aguilera, 33, expressed the importance of the cause in a blog post for the Huffington Post. She wrote of her moving visit to Rwanda: "They told me how they escaped violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Their courage and hope for a better life was incredible. On my trip, I served food to kids who walk miles to and from school each day to receive a hot meal."
"I also went to Haiti after the earthquake hit a few years ago, and saw its devastating effects on many families. Kids there were so happy just to get rice and beans from WFP," she continued.
Aguilera noted that her role as a mother inspired her to take care of other children, as well. "The beautiful faces of the young mothers and children I met in Rwanda are with me every day, and fuel my passion to raise awareness about the critical global hunger issue."
