1. Eva Longoria, Businesswoman

Eva Longoria once told told People, "I would definitely be in corporate America. I love quotas and budgets, and I like barometers of success. I like measurements of success. Tell me what to do, and I will exceed it."

2. Selena Gomez, Waitress

Oddly enough, Selena Gomez has spoken about wanting to be a waitress. The singer told Flaunt Magazine in 2013 that if she didn't make it as a performer, she would simply be a waitress at Cracker Barrel – although she would, obviously, still indulge her musical side with plenty of karaoke.

3. Ashton Kutcher, Biomedical Engineer

Ashton Kutcher, a former male underwear model, isn’t exactly known for his intelligent roles on television, but the actor went to school for biomedical engineering in hopes of contributing to his brother’s heart disease.

4. Sofia Vergara, Dental Assistant

Before Sofía Vergara was the star of Modern Family, the Colombian actress was very close to going to school to be a dental assistant.

5. Mariah Carey, Cosmetologist

Mariah Carey moved to New York City after high school, where she worked as a waitress and a coat check girl. However, the musical diva was also going to school, where she studied cosmetology.

Benicio del Toro was in school studying law before abruptly dropping out to pursue his career in acting. 

7. Dascha Polanco, Nurse

Before Dascha Polanco starred in Orange Is the New Black, she worked as a nurse and healthcare practitioner. Once landing the role, she was able to trade her scrubs in for that famous orange jumpsuit.

8. George Clooney, Baseball Player

George Clooney is obviously fit for the big screen. But it turns out, acting wasn’t his only dream. Clooney hoped to become a Major League Baseball player, and even tried out for the Cincinnati Reds when he was a teenager.

Adrienne Bailon attended a health-focused high school, but she decided to not pursue a career in the medical field with hopes that her acting and singing career would take off. However, looking back, she said, "I really wanted to be an obstetrician! I wanted to bring babies into the world."
