Cardi B has made some serious money moves in 2017. The Instagram star-turned rapper rose to fame thanks to her chart-topping hit, "Bodak Yellow."
With phrases like "I'm a boss" and "bloody shoes," the single topped the Billboard Hot 100, making the Dominican-Trinidadian beauty the first female rapper to earn the spot without any featured artist in nearly 19 years. Not bad for a regular, degular, shmegular girl from the Bronx. Of course, with all the sudden success, companies are now dying to get some love from 25-year-old. Take Steve Madden for example. Although the rapper loves her red-bottom soles, the popular shoe designer decided to collaborate with the former Love & Hip-Hop star to launch a new curated shoe collection all her Bardi gang could afford.
With over 14 million followers on Instagram, other brands are now sending Cardi products in hope of getting some airtime on her social media platform. Hello, free promotion!
Cardi, who has been on the road in the last weeks, took to Instagram, to hilariously unbox some of the packages that had been sent to her by PR companies and other brands. Although the video was only one minute long, it has us rolling on the floor laughing. First off, star gave fans a look at the Gigi Hadid X Maybelline collection, which she describes as "bute." In a more unexpected package, the rapper received a hundred dollar gift card to McDonald's, where she revealed she plans to buy 100 chicken nuggets.
But her favorite gift were 5 Timberland boots she described as a "Bronx B*tch’s dream and nightmare.” While these '90s footwear staples were right up Cardi's alley, they were all sent in a size 5.5, while she is just a size 3.5. Of course, we all know that isn't going to stop the Latina from rocking these beauties.
I don't know about you but I definitely wouldn't mind sitting through 30 minutes of Cardi hilariously unboxing PR packages.
