— Really exciting news for Benicio del Toro. The Boricua Academy Award-winning actor reportedly made his directorial debut in Cuba. According to Fox News Latino, 44-year-old Del Toro directed a short, part of a seven-short film. Titled The Yuma, Del Toro’s short is about a young American who travels to Havan. Cuba, for the city’s annual film festival.

Just a few months after announcing their separation, Kate del Castillo took some initiative and officially filed for divorce from her husband, Mexican actor, singer and Pan Am actor Aaron Diaz.
The actress presented the papers in a California court on Nov. 23. The filing establishes that the divorce is mutually agreed upon, that they have no children between them and that any assets acquired in the marriage were divided in private and in equal parts.

—Calle 13 frontman René Pérez took to his Twitter account to address starting a concert on Saturday at Peru’s San Marcos stadium five hours late. According to People En Espanol, the Puerto Rican band decided to continue the concert after a young fan’s reckless assault to security personnel.
