The manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson’s former personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray began yesterday and choreographer and director Kenny Ortega took the stand. The 61-year-old Spanish-American recalled the demeanor of the deceased Jackson on June 19, 2009—just days before the singer died from a drug overdose. “My friend wasn't right,” Ortega said. “There was something going on that was deeply troubling me.”

— Spanish actor Antonio Banderas and Mexican actress Salma Hayek have begun to promote for their upcoming film, Puss in Boots (out Nov. 4).
