Uh oh! It looks like the New York Yankees could be losing Alex Rodriguez for the remainder of the season. According to reports from Yahoo! Sports and the NY Daily News, A-Rod and several other MLB players are facing possible suspension in conncetion with a second doping offense.

MLB began its investigation at the peak of an ongoing performance-enhancing drug scandal. The league has reached out to Biogenesis founder Anthony Bosch to share details that could lead A-Rod and Blue Jays' Melky Cabrera to be handed a 100-game suspension. NY Daily News has indicated that the 100-game suspension is based on a second offense - the first either from previous suspensions or the denial of drug use and the second from obtaining drugs from Bosch.

This suspension would be a hard hit for A-Rod as he is currently rehabing from hip surgery and won't be able to return to the Yankees' lineup until after the All-Star break.
