Where Are They Now? Latino Celebrity Updates

Ever think back on a celebrity and feel like they’ve totally fallen off the radar? Us too. We’ve rounded up some of the celebrities we haven’t heard from in – what seems like – ages and found out what they’ve been up to. What stars do you wish you had an update on?

1. Where are they now: Prima J

Prima J

We first heard these two primas, Jessica and Janelle Martinez, with their track “Rock Star” in 2007, which has since had over 20 million views on YouTube.

Now? After making cameos in both Bratz: The Movie in 2007 and Bring it On: Fight to the Finish. In 2009, these ladies have seemingly ceased their foray into Hollywood (the last update to their “news” section of their website was in 2008.) Inquiries, so far, have gone unanswered. Primas, where you at?

2. Where are they now: Fat Joe

Fat Joe

This Puerto Rican-Cuban rapper found success when his duet with Remy Ma, “Lean Back”, came out in the summer of 2004. (C’mon, you totally remember that move.)

Now? On April 2, 2012, Fat Joe released “Shut ‘Em Down’s Where It’s At” as one of the tracks from a compilation hip-hop album.

3. Where are they now: Nina Sky

Nina Sky

These two twins made their musical mark in 2004 with the Billboard-topping song “Move Ya Body.” They then appeared next to N.O.R.E. in some of the first reggaeton songs to go mainstream, including “Oye Mi Canto” and “Mas Maiz.”

Now? Good news for you fans! They’ve been working on their second studio album Nicole & Natalie, which is scheduled to hit stores on July 31, 2012. They’ve released their first two singles, “Day Dreaming” and “Heartbeat” already. Get downloading!

4. Where are they now: Freddie Prinze Jr.

Freddie Prinze, Jr.

Everyone remembers this teen movie heartthrob from movies like She’s All That and I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Now? He married Sarah Michelle Gellar in 2001 and they have one child together (with another on the way!) Perhaps most shockingly, Prinze is involved with WWE, or World Wrestling Entertainment, as a director and producer. That has ceased and he is slowly building back his entertainment career, most recently playing a CTU operative in the eighth season of 24.

5. Where are they now: Fabolous

This Brooklyn-raised rapper hit the scene when he released his debut album, which included smash singles like “Can’t Deny It,” “Young’n (Holla Back),” and “Trade it All.” He collaborated with the likes of Pharell, Timbaland and Lil Wayne. (You may also have seen him in Scary Movie 4.)

Now? The last time we heard Fabolous was in 2010, when he released There is No Competition 2: The Grieving Music Ep. He continues touring and will be making 5 stops in the US this month. According to his website, he’s hoping to release a follow-up to Loso’s Way sometime this summer.
