Our November cover girl Salma Hayek severely injured her ankle last year and though it hurt like hell and kept her from certain roles, on a recent appearance on Late Show with David Letterman, the 45-year-old Mexican actress said that was far from the worse fallout.

Apparently, the worst part of the entire injury for Salma was that it kept her from wearing heels. “You’ve never been a Mexican short woman!” Hayek told Letterman, “This is tragic!”
