VOTE for MTV Video Music Awards “Best Latino Artist” of 2011!

Tr3s has announced its nominees for the network’s second annual Best Latino Artist award and the competition is pretty diverse – and hot!  The nominees include reggaeton artists Don Omar and Wisin y Yandel, bachata newcomer Prince Royce, Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias, and iconic Mexican rock group Maná.

The award, which is being presented at the 2011 MTV VMA's, is determined by online voting, which is running through Aug. 19.  The winner will be announced during the Spanish-subtitled transmission of the awards ceremony on Tr3s on September 5th at 7 p.m. EST.  Last year, bachata group Aventura took home the “Best Latino Artist" award.

Our Favorite Pitbull Collaborations of All Time!

Outside of the “Best Latino Artist” award, Latinos are definitely making a mark at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.  Last week, it was announced that Pitbull and Bruno Mars both snagged multiple nominations for the awards ceremony, which will air live on Aug. 28 and 9 p.m. EST.  Half Puerto Rican Mars was nominated for four awards. Pitbull was nominated for two awards, including one for Best Collaboration!
