Is there a Latina coming to The View?

The ABC morning talk show reportedly wants to replace outgoing co-hosts Sherri Shepard and Jenni McCarthy with at least one Latina. According to Fox News Latino, producers scouted Lauren Sanchez, 44, of Good Morning LA and Extra.

In 2013, show creator and retired host Barbara Walters admitted that Sanchez was one of two women considered for the job in 2000. Lisa Ling received the position instead.

Reportedly, producers also have their eye on boricua Sunny Hostin, a former United States Attorney, legal expert and television personality. "[Hostin] checks off a bunch of boxes," an inside told New York Daily News. The 45-year-old Bronx-born, Notre-Dame educated lawyer previously worked at CNN and FOX.

Sanchez or Hostin would join comedian Rosie O'Donnell at the table. Producers asked O'Donnell to return to the show after she departed in 2007.
