Selena Gomez may be a pop singer and actress, but she is a humanitarian at heart.
The 19-year-old star recently teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which helps grant wishes for children suffering with life-threatening medical conditions. Gomez granted the wish of a little girl named Ella, who was diagnosed with leukemia.
The Disney star, which is also the celebrity ambassador for UNICEF, surprised the little girl and played video games with her during their visit. "I got one of her first CDs for my birthday," says Ella. "Then I really liked her."
How sweet! Gomez might be playing a party girl in the upcoming movie, Spring Breakers, but this just proves that there's more to a star than the characters they play on-screen.
