Mariah Carey announced on Wednesday via Twitter that her husband, Nick Cannon, is in the hospital due to “mild kidney failure.” She is calling on her fans to pray for Cannon in his state of fragility.
According to Us Weekly, part-Venezuelan singer Carey updated her official website by writing, “We are trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful.” She added that doctors tried and failed to remove her from her husband’s hospital room in Colorado.
Mother of twins Moroccan and Monroe wrote that, “We’re doing OK but we’re stranded in Aspen. I know, we could be in a lot worse places, but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK.”
She notes that this is a serious situation that’s “very tough on all of us. So please keep us and our family in your prayers.
We’re hoping for Cannon have a full and healthy recovery in this scary time.
Carey updated People.com that Cannon is in good spirits and that they are "hopeful that he'll be 100 percent as soon as possible." Cannon tweeted on Wednesday to inform fans that he is "being transferred to a hospital in L.A.Thank you for all your love, prayers, and concern. You know me ... I will be a'ight."
