Our stars are back from the dead! Rapper/producer Swizz Beats and his wife Alicia Keys, along with Lady Gaga, Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian and a host of other celebs died a digital death (by pledging to stay off of all social media) last week on World AIDS Day, to help raise money for the Keep a Child Alive Foundation.
The goal to raise $1 million for World AIDS Day was reached and so our stars have been resurrected! Keep a Child Alive cofounders Leigh Blake and Alicia Keys announced on Monday that with help from the public and their celebrity friends managed to raise $500,000. Stewart Rahr, a pharmaceutical billionaire based out of Brooklyn who has been the biggest supporter of Keep a Child Alive, matched the amount.
The money received for Key’s charity will go to help those affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.
