Penelope Cruz isn't just raking in awards in the U.S. these days. The actress was in top form at Spain's 23rd annual Goya Awards on Sunday, winning Best Supporting Actress for—what else?—her performance in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. In her acceptance speech, Cruz returned the love to her home country and thanked VCB helmer Woody Allen for the role.
"I've always been a fan of Woody Allen, and that my peers honor me
for a Spanish film made by him makes me very happy," said Cruz. "Thanks Woody for believing in me."
