— Colombian singer/activist Shakira performed her greatest hits for Indian real estate mogul, K.P. Singh, on his private island in India for his birthday, reports Blogamole. The celebration was filled with Bollywood performances and a special concert from Shakira herself. While in India, the 34 year-old superstar also visited impoverished communities and schools.
— PeopleenEspanol.com reports that Mexican actress Salma Hayek’s daughter Valentina thinks that her mami is a cat! After seeing the film Puss in Boots, in which Hayek voices the role Kitty Softpaws, the four year-old was confused and Hayek said that she is nervous about telling Valentina the truth!
— Puerto Rican reggaeton group Calle 13 will perform a concert in El Salvador literally for rice and beans! The band, which won eight Latin Grammy Awards this year, is accepting cans of beans and packets of rice as admission to the concert as a way to stand up against high-ticket prices. Blogamole reports that the food will be donated to families in need.
