— Espinoza Paz joins Cuban American actress Eva Mendes in the new dramedy See If I Care, according to Tr3s. The 29-year-old Mexican banda music composer plays the cousin of compatriot Eugenio Derbez in the coming-of-age film. Paz reportedly said that he doesn’t know Mendes too well, but that Derbez is “cool” and “very talkative.”
— Mexican American comedian Gabriel Iglesias has a new television series on Comedy Central. The 35-year-old, who calls himself Fluffy, has teamed up with the band Ozomatli for Stand-Up Revolution, a weekly showcase that will reportedly feature live comedic performances and stand-up stints by other comedians. The show premieres this Thursday at 10/9 Central.
— Part-Puerto Rican actress Victoria Justice surprised fans of her hit show Victorious with a live event flash mob which answered the cliffhanger at the end of the “All I Want Is Everything” music video. “Meeting the fans face to face is probably the coolest part about my job,” the 18-year-old star said.
