—Eva Mendes has begun filming The Place Beyond the Pines in Latham, New York. Written and directed by Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine), the film stars the Cuban-American actress as the love interest of Ryan Gosling’s character, who is a motorcyclist-turned-robber.

—After the unexpected death of her mother earlier this year left Thalía in mourning, it seems as though the Mexican singer/actress has mustered enough strength to begin recording music again.
