—Demi Lovato’s new single, ‘Skyscraper’, will be released tomorrow. The song will debut on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and the former Disney actress will call in to speak about it. “I’m now just taking that next step and learning how to make my music more radio-friendly but also stay very artistic, and for me that’s R&B,” she said.
—Pitbull visited sick children last week in Miami as part of the Get Well Soon Tour, which unites musicians to cheer up sick children. The 30-year-old Cuban-American rapper performed for patients at Miami Children’s Hospital.
—Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete does not want to give up her crown. The 23-year-old beauty told Mexican news agency Notimex that she is beginning to feel sad because she would not want this experience to end so soon. “I feel a bit of nostalgia and sadness leaving the crown because you get used to working in this,” she said.
—Karen Olivo, a West Side Story alum, will join Harry’s Law, TVGuide.com reports. According to the website, Olivo will play an aggressive attorney hired by Kathy Bates’ character. The NBC show is slated to return for its second season on Sept. 21 at 9/8c.
—The Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler will play a kind travel agent with a rough exterior in the Sept. 18 season finale of Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva. According to TVGuide.com, Sigler’s character is dying of fatal cardiac disease but refuses, at first, to accept a heart transplant from her brother, who is on death row.
—Britney Spears will be bringing her Femme Fatale tour to South America! On Nov. 26, Spears will be performing in Bogotá, Colombia, and will then head to Mexico and Brazil, as well as possibly in Argentina, Chile, Venezuela and Perú.
