— A new clip from the remake of the famous 1984 film Footloose has been released. The clip features up-and-coming Puerto-Rican Ziah Colon, who plays Rusty Rodriguez in the film – set to hit theatres this fall. Check out the short clip here.
— Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matt Rutler were at this past Saturday’s fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Victor Ortiz in Las Vegas. The part-Ecuadorian singer had a ringside view with her honey and afterwards, went to Tao Las Vegas with him for dinner and dancing.
— Afro-cubana Christina Milian found a piece of gum in her Kobe beef salad recently, TMZ reports. The 29-year-old singer was at dinner in a restaurant in Los Angeles when she reportedly felt the chewy substance. According to TMZ, Milian threw up and later filed a complaint with the L.A. Department of Health.
— The Voice’s Javier Colon will guest-star in an episode of The Playboy Club. According to Tr3s, the 33-year-old part-Dominican, part Puerto Rican singer will play Ray Charles and sing the music legend’s “Let the Good Times Roll.”

— Mexican actor Jorge Lavat, known for his numerous telenovela roles and his presence in American television (The Addams Family, The Untouchables and The Green Hornet), died last week from a bacterial infection in his blood after back surgery. He was 78.
